Ukraine, Kyiv, May, 2026 — Co-Founder and CTO of cybersecurity company A42 Serhii Saraichykov was a speaker at the professional development program "Cyber Defense of a Government Agency: Developing a Cyber Incident Response Plan." The program targets Category A civil servants and is designed to raise cybersecurity awareness among senior government officials, focusing on modern cyber threats and response strategies.
During the module dedicated to the evolution of cyber threats and the impact of artificial intelligence on the industry, Co-Founder of A42 addressed the dual role AI plays in today's cyberspace, expanding the toolkit for both attackers and defenders. In particular, he highlighted how AI enables near-unlimited automated vulnerability discovery. Infrastructure weaknesses that previously could go unnoticed for months (forgotten subdomains, unpatched bugs, delayed updates, etc.) can now be identified by adversaries almost instantly.
"The only way to stay ahead of hackers is to start using AI to find your own vulnerabilities right now — and fix them as fast as possible", said Co-Founder of A42 Serhii Saraichykov.
He also focused on supply chain security: for governmental and other critical infrastructure organizations, it is essential to set clear cybersecurity requirements for contractors involved in the development and maintenance of systems. Third-party vendors have increasingly become prime targets for attacks and can serve as entry points into strategic infrastructure.
He explained that the democratization of cyber threats through widely available AI tools demands a symmetrical response: cybersecurity itself must become more accessible. AI-driven security tools, built on rigorous testing methodologies, can deliver a level of protection that previously required far greater resources — combining the speed of automation with a depth of analysis that manual testing often cannot match.
"Now that AI has made cyberattacks accessible to virtually anyone, cybersecurity must become equally accessible," said Co-Founder of A42.
